Data Engineer (Mid-Senior)

1. About the Role

We are looking for a Data Engineer with strong expertise in building scalable data pipelines and orchestrating workflows for advanced analytics and AI-driven projects. This role involves designing, implementing, and optimizing data workflows, ensuring data quality, and enabling machine learning and business intelligence teams to access reliable datasets.

2. Key Responsibilities

Data Pipeline Development

· Design and implement robust ETL/ELT pipelines using Dagster and Kedro.
· Integrate data from multiple sources and ensure consistency, accuracy, and reliability.

Cloud Data Infrastructure
· Build and maintain data solutions on AWS, including:
o S3 for storage
o Athena for query processing
o Aurora for relational database management
· Optimize cloud resources for cost efficiency and performance.

Workflow Orchestration & Automation
· Develop modular, reusable workflows for data ingestion and transformation.
· Implement monitoring and alerting for pipeline health and data integrity.

Collaboration & Documentation
· Work closely with Data Scientists and Analysts to provide clean, structured datasets.
· Document data architecture, workflows, and best practices for team knowledge sharing.
Required Skills & Qualifications
· Proficient in Python, with experience in writing clean, maintainable, and scalable code.
· Hands-on experience with:

o Dagster for workflow orchestration.
o Kedro for data pipeline development.
· Strong knowledge of AWS services (S3, Athena, Aurora, and related tools).
· Familiarity with SQL and relational database design.
· Experience working in agile environments and delivering iterative solutions.
· Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal).

• 2–5 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.

• Strong proficiency in Python, with clean and maintainable coding practices.

• Hands-on experience with:

  • Dagster (workflow orchestration)

  • Kedro (data pipeline development)

• Solid experience with AWS services (S3, Athena, Aurora, etc.).

• Good knowledge of SQL and relational database design.

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Fluent English communication skills (both written and spoken).
